Morning!
I’m up far too early for my only day off this week. Ugh. Just woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep.. not sure whether the headache and grogginess is due to that or the cocktails I had last nite :-/ Hmm. I’ll have to have a drink before long and see what happens. :)
So last night Makala, my brother and myself went to the opening of the Harbour Festival (BHF). There was supposed to be a load of us going down but the others dropped out like a bunch of lame-asses.. well, except for Midget-Ninja.. she had a proper excuse but everyone else were just lame, yes, yes they were! We got down there about half seven-ish and it was already filling up, people EVERYWHERE and some already off their tits. LOL. So we nipped into the Pitcher and Piano for something to eat and COCKTAILS :D I don’t quite know why I’m suddenly digging the alcohol.. maybe its because it seems to be the only thing thats relaxing me at the moment and I can wind down a little bit and have a giggle. That’s probably not a good thing.. it probably isn’t a big step until I hit full time alcoholic, lol, but never mind. We had a very nice waiter be our personal slave for the evening :D hot, buffed up foreign waiter ^_^ even Makala agreed with me which NEVER happens :) are you all that interested in what I had to eat? Well, seeing as you can’t answer I’ll tell you anyway :P I had cheesey chips for a starter.. mmm chips.. and then the New Yorker burger which was previously called the Ultimate Burger :D it was ‘ooge! We stayed there until about 9.30 and then we had to head down to the Amphitheater (is that the American spelling? *frowns suspiciously*) for the concert featuring Candi Staton of ‘Young Hearts, Run Free’ fame for a bit of a jig and embarrassing Paul as much as possible by screaming ‘Dance, you miserable fucker!’ at him or doing the ‘sexy time’ dance at him, lol. :D don’t think he was impressed! I kind of felt sorry for Ms Staton though.. cuz everyone was kind of luke warm with her until she started singing the one and only song anyone recognized and then it was like ‘AHH! DANCE! SING! YAY!’ .. I’m sure she was pre-warned that us Bristolian’s aren’t the most cultured of people! :P
I had Pimms for the first time too. WHICH IS VILE! Don’t ever try it.. ugh. There was some miscommunication with my brother who thought I said I’d have a Pimms when I actually said ‘They’ve got Pimms so they’re bound to have something I’d like’ I tried drink it but it was, as previously mentioned, vile. So I had to chuck it in the end :( by this point it was urinating it down with rain so we didn’t really fancy hanging around for much longer and we’ve pretty much heard the song we were waiting for so we didn’t really have any need to stay, lol. There was mention of going for another few drinks but I don’t know what happened but we didn’t end up going for them. I think I was overruled :( One thing I will mention though.. Makka-Lakka-Ding-Dong and my brother went for a wee (not together obviously.. I’m almost 100% sure there was different bogs involved.) and I was waiting outside, just watching the world go by, mentally slagging people off for their ridiculous outfits.. take women of the larger build wearing TIGHT, fluorescent outfits :-/ not good.. anyway.. and there were these men wondering around handing out flyers for a strip club (can’t remember what it was called) and Syndicate (as Danny Dyer is there tonight) and they were walking up and down in front of me and offering people the leaflets but they didn’t offer me one which I thought was RUDE. I wouldn’t have gone but why didn’t they offer me one? :( Am I that obvious? :-/ My brother said that the big neon sign above my head which screams ‘I’m a homosexual’ didn’t help. Cheeky Bugger… but still! :(
But it was a nice night.. short but nice. I’m supposed to be going down to have a look around the BHF later today with the Mother but she’s poorly so I doubt we’ll be going. Don’t think she has Pig Flu as she doesn’t have the high temperature so she should be okay but we’re keeping an eye on here. I’ll need something to be my Flu Buddy if she does have it.. you’ll need to go and get our Tamiflu and shit. Applicants apply within.
