Sleepless in Bristol

All Grown Up.

Morning!

Well the bank trip yesterday didn’t end in me buying a pony or ending up so much in debt that I’ll be living out of a cardboard box in my parents backgarden.  I was very good and apart from being given a Mastercard I didn’t ask for it went fine.  LOL.  It’s not as bad as it sounds… apparently, even though I’m generally going over my overdraft by about £23 every month I’ve got quite a good credit rating with them :) on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the best, I’m a 2 so its all good.  The reason for the mastercard was originally due to having my wages slashed and I could use it as a bit of extra emergency money but when she found out that I was paying Tiberius on my mother’s MasterCard we decided that we should take advantage of the 0% interest on balance transfers, transfer as much of my debt from that card onto this new one and it’ll give me 12 months to pay it off without fear of gaining any more interest. BARGAIN. So a large chunk of Tiberius is now whizzing thru the air awaiting deployment on my new Lloyds TSB MasterCard :D so the plan is.. to pay off what’s left on the John Lewis Card at the end of the month (they were only able to transfer £631 or something as a balance transfer) and pay the minimum payment on the Lloyds Card (which is a £5 apparently) and then next month continuing paying off the Lloyds one properly… isn’t that fabulous?

It’s making me feel very grown up having a credit card, you know :) and I’m going to be good and not use it and everything. :D well.. I say that! I still need to get Apple’s insurance or whatever its called, service plan?, whatever for Tiberius.  So I might get that on it when I can find out how much it is on student discount and I’ll probably wait until the new year before doing that. But I won’t use it UNWISELY. :) wait.. new clothes. No, Squish. Pony? * scowls at himself *

A quick encoded message.. you know when you think there’s something wrong with a friend and you’re not 100% sure whether he’s (or she’s - obviously) got any back-up and they’re keeping it to themselves and its eating away at them a little bit.. BUT.. you don’t want to intrude incase they’re actually got someone to talk to and they’re perfectly okay but you don’t want to look a fool? Well.. I’m kinda at that juncture.. and if a friend needs someone to talk to then its just a matter of a phone call or an email or something, isn’t it? :) yes? :) too obscure? No? Okay. Well, it’s out there now :)

RIGHT.

So yeah.. shall I take Tiberius in with me today? I never get to use him when I’ve taken him in in the past.  Oh Wait. That was before Tetris :D ooooooh! Playing Tetris in the Lab and making everyone else do the work.. sounds appealing. Hmm. Shall I? Shan’t I? Oh sod it.  It’s not like he weighs much is it? I think the new book I bought from Oxfam (£2.50, baby.. oh yeah!) weighs more than Tibs does.  I bought Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.  I’ve briefly read it in a bookshop once and thought it was very confusing and some 81 pages into it this time, I still find it very confusing.  I’m not 100% sure what is going on and the blurb doesn’t tell me very much it just appears to be a section of the text from inside the book and thats it.  Okay, I know its the height of the Napoleonic Wars but in a world where there was magic… I loved the scene in York Cathedral with the talking statues :) esp. the one who was telling them about the murder there in the 1500s or whatever. Sad times.  But I’m going to read it.. it looks very good and the style of writing (is the ‘spelling’ mistakes meant to be in there? :-/) is very hypnotic.

So anyway.. I’ve better get ready for work and have some breakfast and stuff :)

Squish.
